Diesel Mechanic

Okie Staffing is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic who can work independently, diagnose issues quickly, and keep equipment running at peak performance. This is a hands-on role working on diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment in an outdoor environment year-round.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Pay Rate DOE 21.00 to $30.00

Overtime:
Required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on trucks and equipment
• Complete engine repairs, overhauls, brake work, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics
• Conduct inspections and identify mechanical issues before failure
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Safely operate shop tools and diagnostic equipment
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Support overtime needs based on workload

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair issues independently
• Must provide own tools
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Experience with heavy equipment, fleet, or truck maintenance
• A Plus to have ASE Certification, CDL, or OEM training

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
• Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing
