Field Support Technician

Thermal Specialties is looking for a Field Support Technician for our Construction Services division in Tulsa, OK.

• Material & Equipment Logistics:
  Coordinate and transport materials between job sites, warehouses, and locations. Deliver tools, equipment, and materials to job sites as needed to support field operations. Assist with job site setup and material staging to ensure crews have the necessary resources.
• Tool & Equipment Management:
  Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and job trailers. Track and ensure proper storage and handling of tools and equipment. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
  Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment. Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues in the field. Coordinate with supervisors when repairs require outside vendors or specialized service.
• Operational Support:
  Provide support to the Superintendent and field leadership to ensure efficient project execution. Assist with coordinating logistics for multiple job sites when necessary. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment on job sites.

• 3 plus years’ experience in refractory installation. Knowledge of refractory processes including gunite, ceramic fiber, and brick installation.
• Ability to read fabrication/installation drawings.
• Education must be a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to and from company/shop location.

• 50% travel to be expected (in and out of state)
• Experience working in construction, industrial services, or field operations preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment.
• Frequently required to stand for long periods of time.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
