Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of fireplace installers, providing hands-on training, guidance, and mentorship.
Install a wide range of fireplaces, including wood-burning and gas models, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, local building codes, and industry standards.
Conduct on-site assessments to determine installation feasibility and identify any necessary modifications or challenges.
Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and customers to ensure project timelines and expectations are met.
Perform quality control checks to ensure installations meet safety standards and company quality expectations.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, making on-the-spot decisions to maintain project progress.
Provide technical expertise and customer service by answering questions and offering maintenance recommendations.
Maintain accurate records of completed installations, including materials used and hours worked.
Enforce compliance with safety protocols and ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Stay current with industry advancements and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
NFI Certification highly preferred.
Proven experience as a Fireplace Installer, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of fireplace installation techniques, building codes, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and installation guidelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and coordinate with teams and customers.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and climb ladders.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
