Responsibilities
Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems.
Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre‑action, deluge, and fire pumps.
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, modification notices, etc. to diagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly. Must have the ability to work alone.
Qualifications- 3‑5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler service industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel may be required.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs, and work in difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 60 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Must be able to follow, read and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
- Preferred: NICET Level I certification.
- Backflow certification is a plus.
Hourly rate: $25.00‑$36.00 (determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data). Competitive benefits package included.
