Field Service Technician

White Star Machinery is seeking a Field Service Technician! This role will be responsible for providing quality repair services on Bobcat equipment in order to meet customer needs. This includes performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment. We offer in house training.

Monday – Friday dayshift

• Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure following established guidelines.
• Effective repair of machine components in the field with high quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence for performing assigned repairs.
• Pre-order all parts and materials required for assigned repairs.
• Perform repairs safely and effectively.
• Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and cosmetic appearance meets standards.
• Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases.
• Ensure all records are legible and comply with established methods.
• Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition and wear all personal protective equipment as required; encourage others to do the same.
• All communications with customers and co‑workers are conducted with respect and integrity.

• 3-5 years working as an equipment technician.
• Ability to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
• Contribute to the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
