Mechanic
As a mechanic, you will work independently to perform preventive maintenance and repairs, utilizing cutting-edge technology and programs such as voice application PMs, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, and TAAS. You will enhance your skills working on a diverse fleet of equipment including automobiles, trucks, vans, and forklifts, and perform advanced diagnostics across all original equipment platforms.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-level repairs, including engine and driveline, after treatment and emissions, and safety systems.
- Adapt and build repair and maintenance capability for alternative fuel applications such as electric vehicles and CNG.
- Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary.
- Maintain documentation and records such as vehicle records and pre-trip checklists.
- Answer service calls and provide efficient solutions.
Essential Skills
- Experience with diesel, fleet maintenance, hydraulics, brakes, troubleshooting, and diagnosis.
- Must have own basic hand tools; diagnostic, ergonomic, and high-tech equipment will be provided.
- Physical ability to perform movements including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects, with or without accommodation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills test if applicable.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems.
- Experience performing driveline repairs and after treatment and emissions repairs on class 6 - 8 diesel vehicles.
- Proficiency using diagnostic platforms such as Noregon, Snapon, Nexiq, Altel.
- Brakes Certification, ASE Electrical Certification, ASE Heavy Duty Certification, ASE Suspension Certification, ASE, Macs or Military AC certification.
- Experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL.
- Experience repairing forklifts and light trucks.
- Hotwork/Welding Certification and welding experience.
- Experience with shift work and flexible work weeks.

Work Environment
Work in a fast-paced environment, independently yet supported with coaching and direction as needed. The role operates on a 2nd shift schedule, Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm, with occasional Saturday morning work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.65 - $35.65/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
