Electronics Technician

• Use mastery of electrician trades skills and knowledge to diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment, machines, and equipment.
• Create and assemble components and install them as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Document maintenance and repairs as required.
• Interact fluently with those in other trades and work areas to complete work assignments; provide technical electrical expertise to mechanics, facilities, and other work teams.
• Facilitate repair of electrical and electronic equipment, induction heating.
• Design electrical and electronic equipment.
• Edit program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
• Maintain parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
• Formulate maintenance of computer programming.
• Calibrate eddy current inspection equipment and build coils for the same.
• Ensure proper heat control on heat‑treating furnaces.
• Check calibration of measuring devices on RMC.
• Contribute to the department continuous improvement culture.
• Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and well‑organized work area.
• Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
• Other duties as required.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR associate’s degree from an accredited program in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
• The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
