Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Lead Service Technician Qualifications + Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, field service repair, mechanical repair, or material handling equipment maintenance.
  • Previous experience repairing forklifts, warehouse equipment, automated systems, conveyors, or similar industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, repair manuals, parts manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Previous leadership, team lead, technician trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or technical school certification required.
  • Forklift technician certification, Toyota forklift certification, or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, service documentation, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks and work independently in a customer-focused environment.
  • Must provide personal mechanic hand tools.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Lead Service Technician Responsibilities + Job Duties
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Service Technicians by providing daily guidance, technical support, and hands‑on training to improve team performance and service capabilities.
  • Perform advanced maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, forklifts, automated systems, and industrial conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Provide hands‑on instruction for advanced repair techniques, equipment diagnostics, safety procedures, and proper maintenance practices.
  • Assign daily service activities based on technician skill levels, customer priorities, equipment needs, and operational requirements.
  • Inspect equipment and systems to ensure proper operation, OSHA compliance, safety standards, and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Champion workplace safety by enforcing PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Manage equipment repair readiness by identifying service needs, coordinating parts, maintaining inventory, and completing accurate service documentation.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve service concerns, warranty issues, and equipment challenges.
  • Maintain detailed repair records, preventative maintenance schedules, service reports, and equipment history documentation.
  • Support new hire onboarding, technician training, special projects, equipment installations, and regional service assignments as needed.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and drive improvements related to efficiency, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized service area while following 5S workplace organization principles to promote safety and operational efficiency.
