Tooling Apprentice - 1st Shift Job Tulsa area,Oklahoma USA,Trades / Skilled Labor

Objective:

Ensures that tooling is well-maintained and supports setups as needed by Press Operations.

Shift:

Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime as required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect tooling routinely to detect defects and identify tooling malfunctions
Reporting all quality issues, including defects & damage, to the Tooling Specialist
Repair and refurbish tooling
Drive a Forklift & move materials
Coordinating with others for feedback.
Complying with industry standards and safety regulations while working.
Complete all tasks as delegated by the supervisor in charge.
Efficiently managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
Keep the work area clean and organized.

Physical Demands:

Lift & carry 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
Push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, climb a ladder, and reach overhead and outward frequently.

Work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate personal protective equipment.
The work environment may include excessive temperatures.

Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license & proof of insurance

Previous tooling experience required

Ability to read job specifications, instructions, policies, procedures, rules, posted notices and warnings, safety guidelines, and other work-related materials written primarily or exclusively in English

Ability to read part drawings and familiarity with basic measurement methods.

Ability to interact and work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers

Keeps knowledge and skills current.
