Automotive Maintenance Technician

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts
• Perform tire and brake maintenance
• Occasionally road-test vehicles
• Use U-Haul’s proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist
• Assess and care for field vehicles using U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Repair experience preferred
• Driver’s license
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Basic computer skills
• Regular attendance
• Ability to perform manual labor safely and remain alert
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
• Ability to move frequently and work standing, sitting, and beneath equipment
• May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields

Demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience, with the ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire and brake maintenance, and using proprietary technology for vehicle assessment. Capable of working both independently and as part of a team while adhering to safety protocols.
