Role DescriptionThe Journeyman Electrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tulsa, OK. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential and commercial settings, including wiring, panels, fixtures, outlets, and lighting. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams, troubleshooting electrical issues, performing safety inspections, and ensuring all work meets local codes and industry standards.
The Journeyman Electrician will collaborate with team members on job planning, communicate clearly with customers, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. This role may also require responding to service calls, including lightning protection and repair work, and completing accurate documentation of work performed.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Oklahoma and strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Hands‑on experience with residential and commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, and use standard electrical tools and test equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including use of PPE and adherence to company and regulatory safety procedures.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact professionally with clients.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to work on‑site in various residential and commercial environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or apprenticeship completion is preferred.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
