The Plumber will work closely with the Property Maintenance Manager and team to maintain and repair Mental Health Association Oklahoma (Association) plumbing equipment that does not and does require a license issued by the City of Tulsa or the State of Oklahoma.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.

Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.

Follow building plans and blueprints.

Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.

Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.

Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.

Measure, cut, and bend plumbing material including pipe.

Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.

Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.

Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.

Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.

Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.

High school diploma or GED certificate.

State plumbing license.
5+ years as a plumber.

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

No environmental hazards are encountered in the normal performance of job duties. +Work requires a flexible work schedule due to internal and external meetings. Occasional travel may be required; must have reliable transportation.

This position requires the ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends and may be asked to always respond to emergency calls.

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and staff behavior.

Physical mobility and endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for long periods of time (60 minutes or more).Ability to safely and properly use office equipment.
