Job Summary
GMRE is currently recruiting for an Avionics Aircraft Technician. This day‑shift position may be eligible for per‑dime based on GSA.gov standards.
The candidate will perform maintenance on F‑16 aircraft, applying knowledge of electronic principles in radar, data processing, navigation, and data display systems. The role includes interpreting and advising on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment, and recommending methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
Roles And Responsibilities- Be knowledgeable of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems and the application of maintenance directives.
- Interpret symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.
- Remove and replace F‑16 aircraft parts, accessories, and components.
- Make adjustments and settings according to established Technical Data Specifications.

- Minimum of six (6) years total and two (2) years recent (within 4 years of the task order PoP start) experience in aircraft maintenance support on F‑16 aircraft as an avionics technician.
- Experience with aircraft wiring, including installation of avionics system modifications, routing and terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, coaxial wires, shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
- Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Normal color vision with a passing score of 75% or greater.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Occasional travel for meetings, trainings, and site visits.
