Service Technician – Fire Alarm & Security Systems

We are seeking an experienced Senior Low Voltage Service Technician with 5+ years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control systems. The ideal candidate can work independently, communicate professionally with customers, and diagnose complex system issues with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, and test fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Troubleshoot wiring, electrical components, devices, communications, and system programming.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, system testing, and emergency service calls.
  • Explain system operation and service findings to customers.
  • Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with customers, general contractors, fire/police officials, and other agencies as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and company vehicle.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians.
  • Follow safety procedures and applicable fire, electrical, and building codes.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of low-voltage or related technical service experience.
  • Hands-on experience with fire alarm, security, CCTV, and/or access control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to read plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Experience with system programming is preferred.
  • Commercial and residential service experience preferred.
  • Fire/security/electrical trade certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to work independently and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
