We are seeking an experienced and dependable
Low Voltage Systems Technician
Location: Oklahoma | Full-Time | Installation & Service
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Low Voltage Systems Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain security, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. The ideal candidate can work independently, follow project plans, and provide professional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and system devices.
- Install and configure access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
- Install card readers, door strikes, maglocks, motion sensors, cameras, fire alarm devices, duct smoke detectors, and related equipment.
- Install and program sprinkler monitoring systems and access door fire-release systems.
- Program alarm systems, including more advanced profiles, schedules, and system integrations.
- Integrate security systems with home automation platforms when required.
- Diagnose and repair wiring, device, communication, and system issues.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, site maps, and project documentation.
- Complete accurate service and installation documentation.
- Train customers on system operation and mobile applications.
- Assist with training and mentoring installation helpers and junior technicians.
- Communicate effectively with customers, managers, contractors, and team members.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
- 1+ year of experience in low-voltage, security, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, electrical, or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and installation skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools, ladders, and standard low-voltage equipment.
- Ability to read plans and follow installation specifications.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred/required based on position.
- Burglar and access control licenses are preferred and may qualify for increased compensation.
- Additional fire/security/electrical certifications are a plus.
