Direct Support Professional

HOME OF HOPE seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, faith-based residential support to youth and families experiencing homelessness. In this on-site role, you will assist with daily living skills, implement individualized care and behavior plans, and help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You'll document progress, support education and life skills activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact while gaining experience in youth development and family services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to youth and families in residential care
• Assist clients with daily living skills, routines, and personal care as needed
• Implement individualized service and behavior support plans
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing living environment
• Document observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately and on time
• Support life skills, education goals, and therapeutic activities
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and program staff
• Model positive behavior, conflict resolution, and healthy boundaries
• Participate in training, team meetings, and shift handoffs
• Respond calmly and appropriately to crises or behavioral escalations
