Compensation: $190,000 - $230,000 / year

In this role you will help turn raw opportunities into real products that form the core of new AI‑first ventures. You will be involved early, when problems and signals are still forming.

Your work will include:

• Shaping products from the beginning. Define what should be built, what should wait, and what can be cut before time is wasted.
• Building from zero and shipping fast. Take concepts through prototype to product in users’ hands, often in days, not months.
• Seeing work in the wild immediately. You will ship features that are used right away rather than tiny pieces of a giant system.
• Making foundational technical decisions. Choose tools, architecture, and trade‑offs for the stage without inheriting someone else’s stack.
• Working close to the truth. Learn directly from users, test assumptions, and adjust quickly.
• Building across the full product reality. Consider usefulness, usability, differentiation, and economics.
• Operating at a pace that keeps things fun. Small teams, minimal process, daily meaningful progress.
• Helping shape ventures, not just software. Contribute to decisions that determine whether something becomes a feature, a product, or a company.

We seek engineers with real zero‑to‑one experience who have shaped product and technical decisions to move a venture forward.

Strong candidates typically have the following traits:

• Real zero‑to‑one evidence. Built something from scratch far enough to make product, technical, and speed‑versus‑quality trade‑offs in the real world.
• Product‑builder mindset. Focus on what should be built and what users need rather than just implementation.
• Comfort in ambiguity. Progress without all variables resolved, create clarity while building.
• Strong technical judgment. Make sound architectural and tooling decisions appropriate for the stage.
• Modern web product experience. Design and ship full‑stack applications with Type Script, React, Node.js.
• AI‑native product experience. Work with foundation‑model APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, agent workflows, and evaluate trade‑offs.
• Voracious learning and sharp judgment. Understand emerging AI and apply it selectively to sharpen products.
• Good sense of taste. Deliver sharp, usable, coherent experiences.
• Team collaboration. Communicate clearly and collaborate across product, user, business, and technical domains.
• Ownership mindset. Seek authorship over decisions that drive traction.

While specific tools may evolve, teams commonly use:

• Type Script across the stack
• React and modern frontend frameworks
• Node.js backend services
• PostgreSQL and cloud‑native infrastructure
• OpenAI, Anthropic, and other foundation model APIs
• AI orchestration, retrieval systems, and workflow automation

This is a full‑time remote role for candidates based in the United States. Core Central Time overlap, active team collaboration, and occasional travel for key planning sessions or gatherings are required.
