Warehouse Associate Back-up Driver
LocationTulsa, OK
OverviewWarehouse Associate Back-up Driver will support logistics by ensuring timely delivery of electrical products, maintaining quality control, and assisting with warehouse duties.
Responsibilities- Ensure good customer relations through consistent on‑time deliveries and courteous professional manner.
- Transport and deliver goods in a timely manner.
- Pick material for orders, load material, and manifest ship tickets.
- Properly and safely secure loads and assure loads are within vehicle weight limits.
- Verify count and condition of freight.
- Make reports of overages, shortages, and damages as needed.
- Prepare receipts for the load pickup or delivery.
- Collect payments for goods delivered and delivery charges.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with manager for delivery instructions.
- Fuel truck and restock material needed to perform daily duties at end of shift.
- When there are no deliveries, perform warehouse duties.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Responsible for quality control – no damaged product is sent out or accepted in.
- Adhere to all processes.
- Valid driver’s license meeting Crawford requirements.
- Ability to obtain and pass a DOT physical.
- Six months or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- PIT proficiency; reach truck, order picker, sit down propane. Current certification is a plus.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling small parts.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Operate company vehicle safely and comply with all State and federal DOT standards.
- Make report of any vehicle problems and defects.
- Operate MHE safely and efficiently as required.
- Report vehicle accident/incident immediately to management.
- Maintain a truck log according to State and Federal regulations.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, and keep vehicle clean.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
- Long and varied hours required occasionally.
- Ability to work mandatory physical inventory.
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment.
- Ability to work in dusty conditions.
