The Shipping and Receiving Loader coordinates keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities- Studies shipping reports, sales orders and other records to determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.
- Picks, packages, and ships parts as determined by sales orders.
- Allocates the order to be staged and contacts the carrier to schedule the shipment when notified that the order is ready to be shipped.
- Determines that shipping requirements of each order and conveys this information to the carrier.
- Supports various internal departments throughout the organization by conveying available resources and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Maintains shipping documents (loading ticket/pipe stage slip/fittings pick ticket and signed bill of lading), including photos of all outbound flatbed shipments.
- Backs up shipping coordinator with freight and vendor requests as needed.
- Assists with tooling and packaging as needed.
- Assists scheduler with inventory as needed.
- Is responsible for keeping in compliance with the JM Eagle T.H.M. (Total Housekeeping Management) program.

Computer SkillsPossess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. With AS400 experience preferred.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED; or experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in shipping, receiving, logistics, or transportation.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, invoices, and procedure documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to vendors, customers, supervisors, and subordinates.
