Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift
• Verify inventory accuracy and ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards
• Collaborate with customers for material placement
• Document deliveries with photos per company policy
• Load and unload materials with forklifts or manually, handling up to 100 lbs
• Work in varied weather and noisy environments
• Read and interpret job‑related documents in English
• Manage long hours and fast‑paced schedules within a 200‑mile radius

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and clean driving record
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and handle materials up to 100 lbs
• Effective communication skills in English
• Aged 18+ (21 for interstate or hazmat) and able to pass background checks, drug screen, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification
• Current DOT Medical Certificate

• Hazmat endorsement
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries
• Familiarity with fleet management systems
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Multilingual abilities

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement
• Current DOT Medical Certificate
• Forklift Certification (preferred)
• FMCSA Registration (required)

Long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions within a 200‑mile radius; no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support.
