Position: Auto Parts Dispatcher (Full Time) #122

Non‑CDL position.

Position Summary

Delivery Dispatcher responsible for receiving, recording, and distributing orders to delivery drivers, coordinating efficient routes, communicating estimated delivery times to customers, and ensuring timely delivery of parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Records information such as name, address, and special instructions.
  • Helps fill orders and distributes them to delivery crew.
  • Calls customers to ensure satisfactory performance of service and keeps a record of orders.
  • Dispatches orders and relays messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments.
  • Delivers parts when necessary.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction.
  • Abides by rules of the road and laws for safely operating a vehicle.
  • Determines the priority of deliveries and selects the most timely and efficient route.
  • Receives and processes orders and documents, ensuring completeness and clarity before delivery.
  • Maintains a clean and well‑running delivery vehicle through routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Safely drives a vehicle in different weather and traffic conditions.
  • Maintains a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Maintains a clean facility inside and outside, including sweeping, mopping, picking up trash, straightening shelves, and rearranging stock.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Automotive parts and/or customer service experience preferred.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rates, ratios, percent; interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions; solve problems with few concrete variables.

Computer

Skills:

Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and Microsoft Office.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver’s License (Class E required for Missouri) and clean driving record.

Physical Demands: Requires regularly standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle, reach, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Requires close vision and distance vision.

Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; wet and/or humid conditions and outdoor weather; occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Noise level usually moderate.
