Lift Truck Operator

Schedule:

10:00am-7:00pm Wed/Sun Off Pay: $17.26 - $20.92

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision, the Lift Truck Operator is responsible for operating a lift truck up to 45 feet in the air to receive, store, and distribute merchandise. The Lift Truck Operator will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment while constantly maintaining the highest level of customer service.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Pull orders.
• Pack and repack merchandise.
• Load merchandise for customers.
• Unload trucks.
• Stock merchandise using a lift truck or tugger.
• Follow lift truck safety procedures.
• Maintain excellent customer service.
• Respond to instructions from the Control Booth regarding proper merchandise to pull.
• Keep the warehouse area clean.
• Assist other warehouse departments as needed.
• Transfer materials as needed.
• Maintain assigned aisles as directed by management.
• Put merchandise away properly and safely.
• Complete daily closing assignments and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

• Pass a lift truck licensing test, including written and physical requirements.

• Weigh less than 300 lbs. in accordance with manufacturer requirements.

• Communicate effectively with team members.

• Maintain a positive attitude when working with customers.

• Follow employment policies and safety procedures.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following:
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. Heavy Work:
Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 35 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Work Environment:
