The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inventory control, material flow, warehouse organization, and logistics activities to support efficient manufacturing and distribution operations. This role contributes to organizational objectives by maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse utilization, supporting operational readiness, and ensuring materials are available to meet production demands.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily inventory control and warehouse activities to ensure accurate material handling and inventory management.
  • Train and support inventory personnel on inventory control procedures, material handling practices, system transactions, and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and inventory verification activities.
  • Organize warehouse layouts, storage locations, and inventory placement to maximize space utilization, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure inventory is properly identified, labeled, stored, and maintained in designated locations.
  • Monitor material flow between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping operations to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with establishment and maintenance of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring timely availability and accuracy of materials required for production.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend adjustments to inventory levels, stocking methods, and material movement processes.
  • Maintain compliance with inventory auditing standards, warehouse procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
  • Support receiving, shipping, and material handling operations as needed.
  • Assist with warehouse process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, planning, and warehouse personnel to resolve material-related issues.
  • Assist with implementation of inventory management systems and process enhancements.
  • Prepare inventory reports and operational metrics as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, material management, supply chain operations, or a related field, or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, and manufacturing environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices, warehouse operations, and material management principles.
  • Understanding of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, auditing, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and warehouse tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and support inventory and warehouse personnel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet operational deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Essential and Physical Functions
  • Analyze inventory issues and make sound operational decisions with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate multiple inventory and logistics activities simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, production teams, and management.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and movement throughout warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.
