Income Tax Analysis Coordinator (TPS4

The Income Tax Analysis Coordinator (TPS4) at Washington's Department of Revenue conducts tax and economic impact studies, prepares fiscal notes and policy analyses for legislative proposals, and supports the Research and Fiscal Analysis Division's mission to evaluate state revenue laws and inform government decision‑making. This is a full-time permanent position in Tumwater, WA with flexible/hybrid remote employment options.

• Ability to interpret and analyze complex language and apply quantitative methods through progressive analytical, research, or data‑driven work
• Progressive experience managing or leading projects, including coordinating participants and overseeing deliverables
• Demonstrated skill in conducting complex tax, economic, or fiscal research using statistical programming tools such as SAS, SQL, STATA, R, or Python
• Progressive experience supervising, mentoring, or developing professional staff
• Proven ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences including executive leadership and legislators
• Bachelor's degree in economics, taxation, public administration, public finance, statistics, accounting, mathematics, or related field plus six years of professional experience in relevant field
