Job Description

Prop Culture Maintenance is seeking a skilled Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our maintenance team working directly under the Director of Maintenance. This is a 90-day trial position with strong potential for long-term employment and full-time benefits.

Position Overview

The A&P will support a fast-growing general aviation maintenance operation focused on high-quality service, flight school fleet support, and customer aircraft maintenance. This role is hands-on and operationally critical.

Employment Terms
  • Initial term: 90-day probationary position
  • Schedule:

    Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
  • Long-term opportunity:
    Full-time position with benefits available upon successful completion
  • Housing:
    Temporary housing available during trial period
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on piston aircraft
  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events (annuals, 100-hour inspections, troubleshooting)
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company maintenance standards
  • Accurately document all maintenance actions
  • Support dispatch readiness and fleet reliability
  • Work directly under the Director of Maintenance in a structured maintenance environment
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and attention to detail

Prop Culture Maintenance is actively transitioning into an authorized Diamond Service Center.

  • Candidates selected for full-time employment will be eligible for Diamond Factory Training
  • Factory training will include manufacturer-approved maintenance procedures, systems training, and certification pathways specific to Diamond aircraft
  • This is a unique opportunity to become part of a Diamond-authorized maintenance network as the program is established
Ideal Candidate
  • Valid FAA A&P certificate required
  • Experience in general aviation piston aircraft preferred
  • Able to work under direction and operate independently when needed
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Professional attitude in a customer-facing maintenance environment
  • Safety-focused with strong attention to detail

Job Requirements
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate required
  • Ability to work under the direction of the Director of Maintenance
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance documentation requirements
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting airframe and power plant systems
  • Ability to perform inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance (annuals, 100-hour, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard for safety and workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, fast-paced maintenance team
  • Good communication and professionalism in a customer-facing environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
