JOB TITLE:
Accounting Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
2. Accounting experience required, preferably in Education.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

CFO
JOB GOAL:
To independently administer, analyze, and oversee key components of the district's accounting and fiscal operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, accuracy of financial reporting, and effective stewardship of district resources in support of student learning.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as a general accountant for the district, exercising professional judgment in the application and interpretation of accounting standards, regulations, and district policies.
2. Independently analyzes and monitors encumbrance accounting, purchasing, and expenditure controls.
3. Helps to prepare and monitor the district's annual operating budget.
4. Prepares monthly financial reports.
5. Assists in payroll responsibilities, including determining deductions for withholding tax, pension, Social Security, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, major medical, life insurance, health insurance, and other required salary deductions.
6. Evaluates inventory control and fixed asset accounting systems.
7. Monitors disbursements of district funds.
8. Supports the payable processes and procedures.
9. Completes monthly bank reconciliations.
10. Serves as a liaison with external auditors.
11. Monitors employee expense reimbursements.
12. Assists in internal control reviews and internal audits.
13. Ensures compliance with accounting of Federal Programs.
14. Assists with federal, state, and private projects as assigned.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk, walk, hear, stand, and use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects. The employee must frequently squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp items during the workday.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
May have periods of standing when assisting with special function events.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
