Instructional Associate Professor - Geology and Geological Engineering

The Department of Geology & Geological Engineering in the School of Engineering at the University of Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month Instructional Associate Professor position (non-tenure track) to begin ASAP. Teachingresponsibilities will include geology courses for non-majors;courses supporting undergraduate and graduate degrees in geologyand geological engineering; assisting with instructionallaboratories; advise graduate students, and participation in instruction of summer field camps (field camps are outside of thenine-month contract and qualify for additional compensation).Additional

summer teaching opportunities for additional pay may be available, yet summer employment is not always guaranteed. The candidate is also expected to contribute to departmental service.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field by the appointment startdate. Candidates should also demonstrate a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching, with at least 10 years of experience.
