What You'll Be Doing
** Job Scope:
** Generally responsible for performing routine design of less complex design assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical and instrumentation assignments. This work will be performed under close supervision.
** Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
*** Ability to work with direction of Engineer andor Sr Designer and interface with other disciplines.
* Can meet all deadlines as required by project schedule
* Perform the necessary fieldwork, pulling measurements, as-building existing systems, etc.
* Ability and willingness to learn Senior design skills to continue to grow and support the department needs.
* MTO Material Take Off - Estimating required material for projects.
* Must be able to work various projects and maintain project schedule.
* Design, Review and Maintain all manner of I&E drawings including but not limited to, P&I’s, single lines, motor schematics, I/O Drawings, Panel schedules and loadings, Cable tray routes, CCS and M&E databases.

* Education:

** High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is preferred.
** Certification:
** Certification is not required at this level.

* Experience:

** This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
** Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*** E&I designer with 5+ years’ experience in the design of Instrumentation and Electrical Systems including, but not limited to, PLC, DCS, Motor Schematics, P&I’s, single lines and logic drawings.
* Should be proficient in Micro Station, Excel and Word and PDMSE3D experience a plus.
* Demonstrate the ability to design in congested operating areas and must have fieldwork experience
* Some work may require working at heights above 6 feet, climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and using man-lifts, etc.
* Be able to work in an operating chemical plant in the heat and humidity of South Mississippi.
* Prefer Micro Station but would consider AutoCAD.
** Physical Requirements
