Educational & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred. Graduate degree preferred, though significant related experience may be substituted for graduate degree. Five to eight years' management experience in healthcare accounting and high-level Excel skills required.

• Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, and decision making. Must perform all job duties in an accurate, professional and expedient manner.
• Experience managing and maximizing the profitability of a medical practice with multiple service lines (clinic, surgery, MRI, PT, etc.).
• Comfortable performing quantitative and analytical duties.
• Ability to handle many projects at one time.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Comfortable presenting complex financial data to a broad audience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Produces and reviews monthly productivity, revenue, and overhead for physician and extenders.
• Develops ad hoc analysis, pro forma and ROI analysis, and recurring analysis to help optimize operations.
• Formally presents reports to management and board members.
• Maintains and reviews leases, contracts, and regulatory reporting.
• Assists in maintaining cost control and purchasing controls.
• Prepares detailed surgical case, physical therapy, imaging and other ancillary analysis.
• Assists in preparation of tax returns.
• Maintains general ledger, journal entries, chart of accounts and other related financial statement infrastructure.
• Reconciles cash to accrual basis.
• Facilitates efficient accurate closing on monthly accounting records/books.
• Oversees administration of physician compensation formula.
• Maintains solid relationships with outside financial advisors - i.e., accounting firm and bank.
• Maintains and oversees system of internal controls and all aspects of financial and governmental compliance.
• Directs and oversees the facilitation of accounts payable.
• Generates internal financial statements monthly, and facilitates financial reviews with department heads.
• Assists in optimizing performance of billing, receivables, and collection functions.
• Develops the annual budget and monitors the monthly financial results to ensure budget is adhered to.
• Manages all internal requests for special bonuses when needed.
• Position is onsite-full time, some weekend and evening work required as needed.
