About the Agency
The MDE seeks to create a world-class educational system that gives students the knowledge and skills to be successful in college and in the workforce, and to flourish as parents and citizens.
This position is located in the Office of Compulsory School Attendance Enforcement. Duties consist of implementing and ensuring statewide compliance with the Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law, dropout prevention efforts, and regulations or policies adopted by the State Board of Education.
What you'll need to be Successful
This position will require exercising a high degree of independent judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a Behavioral Science or a related fieldor(3) years of combined experience as a school teacher, school administrator, law enforcement officer, and/or a licensed Social Worker by the State of Mississippi.
