X-Ray Technologist Surgery Center

Specialty Orthopedic Group is seeking a full-time X-Ray Tech to join our Surgery Center team. The X-Ray Tech will be responsible for explaining the X-ray procedure to patients, preparing them for the procedure, and positioning them to ensure the best possible outcome.

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Produce high-quality radiographs to assist in diagnosing illnesses and injuries.
• Verify that the correct body part is being examined.
• Properly align patients and equipment to obtain optimal positioning for the X-ray.
• Ensure that the correct views are captured in each exam.
• Educate patients about the X-ray procedure.
• Provide patients with copies of their images upon request.
• Confirm that appropriate codes are used for billing purposes.
• Ensure that all images are uploaded to the PACS system.
• Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure the X-ray unit meets the required standards per laws, rules, and departmental policies.
• Clean, maintain, and perform minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including identifying repairs needed.
• Protect patients and other personnel from radiation hazards during procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
