- Perform high‑quality, cost‑efficient diagnostic procedures for patients and the department.
- Provide radiology services in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
- Organize workflow to prevent delays.
- Assist physicians and other medical staff during procedures as requested or required.
- Deliver excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, other medical staff, and NMMC staff members.
- Attend required in‑services, annual reviews, and educational programs.
- Be knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in radiological examinations.
- Stay abreast of changes in radiology.
- Adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Comply with applicable local, state, and federal policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, laws, and statutes.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program; required.
- Registered or registry eligible by ARRT.
- License as required by the State of Mississippi (MRT).
- Possess strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy.
- American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification; required.
- Keep abreast of changes in radiology by attending classes and continuing education provided.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; required.
- Serve patient population categories of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
