JOB SUMMARY
The Specialist Installation is responsible for administering and supporting end users to resolve issues that may arise on devices and software. The IT Support Specialist provides assistance through guidance by phone, in person, and via the helpdesk system to process support requests, document solutions, and communicate status to the end users and IT management. The position also maintains system updates and new implementations.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide customer service and support to all users of end‑user devices and software.
- Manage complex end‑user support and desktop PC maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, and network connectivity.
- Timely and accurately install end‑user devices and software, including upgrades and enhancements.
- Evaluate user department needs and recommend hardware and software solutions.
- Conduct problem‑solving research.
- Stay abreast of current advances/updates in technology.
- Maintain a database of system changes and revisions.
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science (required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus 4 additional years of experience (accepted).
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (required only for onsite technician roles).
- 1–3 years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining software and computer systems (required).
- Operational knowledge of end‑user devices and related equipment.
- Knowledge of hardware and networking basics.
- Working knowledge of mobile device support and maintenance.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to implement, configure, and troubleshoot PC systems and software.
- Works independently with little direction.
- Plans and organizes tasks effectively.
- Maintains current knowledge of technological advances.
- Engages positively with customers, patients, staff, and the public.
