Linux Administrator

Job Description

Summary:

Seeking experienced Linux Administrators for maintaining multi-user computer systems, including Linux-based servers and clusters, with a focus on system performance and security.

• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience (additional experience may substitute for the degree)
• DoD 8570 certification - Security+ and OS cert (Linux+, Red Hat, etc.) within 90 days
• General knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems
• Top Secret security clearance required (TS/SCI preferred)

• Experience with Storage Architectures: SAN, SAS, FC, SATA
• Ability to understand application scaling issues related to problem resolution and algorithm choice

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems
• Coordinate with network administrators
• Set up administrator and service accounts
• Maintain system documentation and tune system performance
• Install system-wide software and allocate storage space
• Develop policies for computing resource allocation
• Participate in installation, integration, acceptance testing, and maintenance of HPC systems and software environment

Pay Details: $65.00 to $87.00 per hour
