Job DescriptionJob Summary
The Certified LPN at North Mississippi Health Services plays a vital role in providing a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care, adhering to hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Their responsibilities include patient care, documentation, teaching, and performing IV therapy, ensuring age‑appropriate care and maintaining positive relations with patients, families, and medical staff. The LPN must possess problem‑solving skills to handle stressful situations and respond to changing patient needs effectively.
JobFunctions
- Patient Care – Provide a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
- Documentation – Assist in maintaining patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting, and accurate medication administration records.
- Contribute to Nursing Care Plan – Participate in developing and updating patient care plans.
- Patient/Family Teaching – Provide teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
- IV Therapy – Perform IV therapy utilizing hospital guidelines and protocols.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (or higher).
Licenses and Certifications- LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – State Licensure
- CPR – Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
