• Bag groceries for customers, ensuring at least five items per bag and no damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Offer help with loading bags into customers’ cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and replace merchandise on store shelves.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions or accidents, and notify store management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of items in need of repair.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
