We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping & Routing Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer orders move efficiently from release to shipment while meeting all routing and compliance requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the Routing Guides and shipping requirements for our customers. The Shipping & Routing Coordinator provides all the necessary information to the shipping department on a timely and proactive basis. This position, though office based, will also need to be out on the warehouse floor at times throughout the day. Previous warehouse experience is ideal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Treat all coworkers with dignity and respect regardless of gender, race, national origin, age, religions, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • Maintains customers’ orders from when they are released to the warehouse until they are shipped.
  • Assist the shipping team with label printing, label application and any other shipping dock needs.
  • Ensures the orders are shipped accurately and on time.
  • Inspects orders that are pulled for correct counts, proper labeling, and any other requirements needed for that customer.
  • Required to maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of customer Routing Guides and shipping requirements.
  • Upload and maintain shipment requirements into our Share-point database for Routing Guides.
  • Update customer “Cheat sheets” on shared drive.
  • Work with Sales Support agents to schedule ‘hot’ orders and track shipments.
  • Communicate necessary routing information to the shipping department on a timely basis.
  • Be able to answer incoming phone calls.
  • Print pick tickets and provide shipping methods via customer compliance guides.
  • Act professionally and remain focused while working.
  • Assist Accounting Department in credit research by pulling PT’s, BOL’s and gathering POD’s.
  • Follow directions of leadership
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in your area.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None but works with all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related warehouse experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficient with Routing Programs
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
  • Previous work experience with Microsoft Navision is a plus.
