Position Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Turlock, CA | On-site
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will assist with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cost tracking, and financial reporting across our poultry production and processing operations. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and an understanding of agricultural or manufacturing accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and record journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Assist in cost accounting related to feed production, live operations, and processing facilities
- Reconcile inventory balances and maintain accuracy in production and supply cost records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with payroll and benefit accounting as needed
- Support compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to improve efficiency and internal controls
- Provide support for audits and other special projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (manufacturing, agricultural, or food production industry experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Quick Books, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
