The Fertilizer Customer Service & Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the non‑protein purchasing of fertilizer inputs and the coordination of all customer orders, including booking of sales orders and customer communications. The position also coordinates with operations and sales to determine lead‑times and priorities that impact production scheduling and staffing.

• Execute purchasing of non‑protein fertilizer ingredients and source and coordinate related logistics.
• Negotiate pricing and forecast non‑protein ingredient needs for West and Central fertilizer facilities.
• Coordinate with operations and sales to determine production needs and scheduling plans to best meet customer and facility needs.
• Handle all facets of customer service, including booking of sales orders, billing, credits, documentation, communication, and execution of marketing and program pricing campaigns.
• Support the regional sales team with inside sales support and customer support efforts.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Proficiency with computer software including MS Office and Oracle.
• 3 years experience working in a fast‑paced office environment.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant field.
• Experience in agricultural business, especially crop input experience.
• Experience with booking and managing freight/logistics.
• Sales or customer service background.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Physical Demands:
  None; occasionally up to 10 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds; constantly up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds; more than 100 pounds.
• Work Environment:
  Exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments such as high noise level, strong odors, and/or exposure to heat and cold.
• Hazards:
  Bio‑hazardous conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, potential use of dangerous equipment, and travel to offsite locations.
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Must remain in a stationary position, move about inside/outside the office, operate a computer, use fingers to handle or feel, reposition oneself to maintain computers in the lab, ascend/descend on a ladder, communicate effectively with co‑workers and clients, and detect hazardous conditions.
