Western Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a General Dentist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care, including exams, restorative treatment, and preventive services to a diverse patient base. You'll collaborate with specialists and support staff to ensure high-quality, efficient care aligned with our focus on community wellness. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry, including exams, cleanings in coordination with hygienists, fillings, crowns, and basic prosthodontic services
- Perform extractions, limited endodontic procedures, and other restorative treatments within scope of training and comfort level
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, preventative care, and treatment options in a clear and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with hygienists, dental assistants, orthodontists, and other specialists to coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and charting in the practice management/EHR system
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and OSHA standards to ensure a safe clinical environment
- Participate in continuing education, training, and performance feedback to enhance clinical skills and support continuous improvement
- Support Western Dental's mission of community wellness by providing inclusive, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population
- Contribute to a positive, team-based work culture that emphasizes professionalism, ethical practice, and patient satisfaction
Required Skills
- Clinical dentistry (diagnostics, restorative, prosthodontics, basic endodontics, extractions)
- Treatment planning and case presentation
- Local anesthesia and pain management
- Radiography interpretation and digital imaging
- Use of dental practice management/EHR software
- Infection control and sterilization protocols
- Oral surgery basics (simple and some surgical extractions)
- Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures)
- Patient communication and education
- Culturally competent care and bedside manner
- Time management in a high-volume clinical setting
- Collaboration in multidisciplinary dental teams
