The Art History Program in the Department of Art at CSU Stanislaus invites applications for a full‑time lecturer in Art History. The position is an academic‑year appointment, requiring a full‑time workload of 15 weighted teaching units (WTU) per semester, typically translating to 5 courses. The role primarily involves face‑to‑face instruction of lower‑ and upper‑division courses; limited online teaching of GE courses may also be included.

MA or PhD in Art History or an equivalent field at the time of hire, and evidence of effective university‑level teaching.
Preferred QualificationsPhD in Art History with a major in Ancient or Medieval Art History and a minor in non‑European Art or Museum/Gallery/Curatorial Studies. Evidence of scholarly accomplishment, university teaching experience beyond teaching assistantships, and outstanding teaching evaluations strengthen the application.
