Position

Temporary Lecturer in Latin American History. The Department of History invites applications for a temporary lecturer appointment. Candidates selected will teach the following courses:

  • Colonial Latin America
  • Modern Latin America
  • History of Mexico
  • US‑Latin American Relations
  • Mexican and Central American Immigration

This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding.

Minimum Qualifications

A PhD (or ABD) in Latin American History is required.

Compensation

Salary is based on qualifications and experience. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule, others normally in Range
2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Base salaries are prorated based on units assigned and paid in six monthly payments per full semester. Salary rates for California State University Lecturers (Academic Year) can be found in the schedules linked.
