Lecturer openings in English. Instructors will teach primarily composition and critical thinking courses, with an emphasis on argumentative writing. There may also be openings in general education literature, humanities survey courses, and technical/professional writing courses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- M.A. in English or related field
- Demonstrated success in community college or university‑level teaching emphasizing writing instruction
- Ph.D. in English or related field
- Evidence of effective teaching in composition and critical thinking courses
- Evidence of effective teaching in literature or humanities courses

COMPENSATIONCommensurate with qualifications and experience. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3; others in Range
2. Starting salaries usually at or near the minimum of the range. Salaries are prorated based on units assigned and paid in six monthly payments per semester.
