Assistant Professor of Accounting
The Department of Accounting & Finance invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2027. The post will primarily be a teaching position at the Turlock campus of California State University, Stanislaus.
Responsibilities- Effective teaching and mentoring of students throughout their academic careers, with teaching responsibilities primarily at the Turlock campus.
- Maintain a record of scholarship that meets AACSB scholarly academic standards.
- Provide service to the Department, the College of Business Administration, and the University.
This is an academic‑year appointment; additional employment may be possible in a summer session.
Minimum QualificationsDoctoral degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or a related field from an AACSB‑accredited doctoral institution, awarded by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications- Ability and experience to teach a variety of accounting courses, especially Intermediate Accounting.
- Interest in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Analytics.
- Professional certifications and/or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated potential to publish in respected, peer‑reviewed accounting journals.
- Evidence of or potential for successful and innovative teaching experiences at the undergraduate level, and a commitment to support a diverse student body.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $10,386 to $10,915 per month for Assistant Professor, paid in twelve monthly payments per academic year.

Mandated Reporter RequirementThe holder of this position is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and must comply with CSU Executive Order 1083 (rev. July 21, 2017) as a condition of employment.
