Minimum Qualifications

M.A. in Ethnic Studies or related field with compelling evidence of strong undergraduate teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies or related field.

Compensation

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range
2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Base salaries are prorated based on the number of units assigned and paid in six monthly payments per full semester.

The person holding this position is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and must comply with CSU Executive Order 1083.

All employees must complete background checks, including criminal records checks. Failure to complete or provide false information may result in disqualification or withdrawal of offer.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required Employment Eligibility Verification document upon hire.
