English Department Teaching Associate

Open to current Stanislaus State students, currently enrolled or eligible to enroll only.

Position:
Teaching Associate (instructor of record) for Introduction to Literature (ENGL 1010).

Salary: $3,894 per term ($649 monthly based on 8 hours a week). Days/

8 hours per week.

Location:

CSU Stanislaus–Turlock campus. Expected

Start Date:

08/17/2026. Expected End Date: 05/31/2027.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as instructor of record for a section of Introduction to Literature (ENGL 1010).
  • Hold regular office hours.
  • Attend weekly meetings during the duration of appointment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Post‑baccalaureate students in a graduate program registered in at least 4 Fall/Spring units.
  • Bachelor’s degree; meet all eligibility requirements per the Student Employment Policies; enrolled in an English department graduate program and in good academic standing.

  • Critical Writing Sample: academic paper (8‑10 pages) from a previous literature course demonstrating strong analytical and scholarly writing skills.
