Part-Time Lecturer(s) Pool in Nursing

POSITION:
Temporary lecturers in nursing:
The Department of Nursing invites applications for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. Candidates selected will teach one or some combination of courses in Nursing. This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding and need.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Unencumbered California RN license;
Master's Degree in Nursing for theory courses, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing for Clinical courses. If teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, applicant must have National Nurse Practitioner Certification and unencumbered California FNP license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctoral Degree. Minimum one year teaching experience preferred.

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package. Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range
2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. Salary rates for California State University Lecturers (Academic Year) can be found in the schedules linked below.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND THE COLLEGE:
We invite you to become a part of a challenging and fact growing nursing program which includes undergraduate BSN programs with a pre-licensure, an accelerated second bachelors, and an ADN-BSN track, and a graduate program with a focus on Education, Administration, and Gerontological nursing. In April 2007, we received the maximum accreditation of 10 years by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
We successfully underwent BRN accreditation in February 2014, without any areas of non-compliance.
