Summary
We are currently representing an established mechanical contractor that is 100% employee-owned (ESOP) and known for delivering high-quality HVAC and mechanical solutions across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. The company is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical construction projects through planning, coordination, installation, and closeout
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Manage project budgets, schedules, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and closeout documentation
- Coordinate field labor activities and materials procurement with the shop and field supervisors
- Oversee subcontractor scope buyouts, equipment tracking, and long-lead item management
- Attend job walks and coordinate with GCs, architects, and engineers as needed
- Ensure code compliance, quality standards, and project safety practices
- Deliver internal reporting, including cost-to-complete forecasts and project profitability
- Support estimating, value engineering, and new bid efforts as needed
- Commercial tenant improvements
- Design-build HVAC systems
- Industrial retrofits and expansions
- Healthcare, education, and clean room environments
- Process piping and equipment installs
- 5+ years of mechanical construction experience, ideally in HVAC project management
- Proven track record managing mechanical scopes from $500K to $10M+
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drawings, and field coordination
- Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
