Position: Academic Senate Work Study Student Assistant (FWS)
  • Position Summary

    Onetemporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position in Academic Senate.

  • Start Date

    Position available on or after September 1, 2026 and ending on or before May 28, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

  • Job Description/Duties
    • Assist with the Student Perceptions of Teaching and Learning (SPOT) survey process in the Academic Senate Office.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrates excel skills and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrates prior experience with mail merge programs for creating labels.
    • Demonstrates the capability to be dependable and conduct their self in a professional demeanor.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
    • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
  • Special Conditions

    CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or declare a medical or religious exemption from doing so.   • Salary Range

    $16.90 per hour

    Satisfactory completion of a background check (which includes checks of employment records, education records, criminal records, civil records; and may include motor vehicle records, professional licenses, and sex offender registries, as position requires) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.

    Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
