The Grief Support Facilitator has two primary duties:
This position serves as a group facilitator for Jessica’s House grief support groups, both onsite and at offsite school groups.

Program Director Status:
Part-time
Pay Range: $28-32/hour
Two evenings a week, totaling 8 hours
Education- A minimum of two years’ work experience in a helping-related position
- Master’s degree in psychology or social sciences
- Education about human behavior, change, and lifespan development.

- Verbal and written fluency in Spanish preferred

- Ability to greet grieving families with compassion, warmth, and caring.

- Volunteers
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Jessica’s House Facilitator Manual.
- Understand and implement Jessica’s House model of peer support.
- Abide by the "Facilitator Confidentiality Agreement" from Jessica’s House Facilitator Skills Manual.
- Abide by all "Safety Guidelines for Facilitators" from the Jessica's House Facilitator Skills Manual.
- Meet with prospective donors and current donors as needed.
- Support with tours as needed.
- Facilitate one-hour pre- and post- meetings as lead staff as required.
- Assist with closing procedures after group nights.
- Act as lead staff on Care Team as needed.
- Facilitate in one or more groups as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Act as staff lead for group nights.
- Mandated reporting as needed.
- Securing doors/gates - last one to leave.
- Facilitating groups as outlined in Jessica’s House training and manual.
- Provide offsite support as needed for critical incidents.
- Complete the facilitator training for Jessica’s House at the first available training after
- Be available for evenings and weekend hours.
- Perform all duties of lead staff member for onsite groups.
- Facilitate in three or more groups as needed/assigned.
- Perform all duties of lead staff member for onsite groups.
- Facilitating support groups as needed.
